Early Infant Research Group
What do we study?
- A research study investigating infant understanding of attachment in relation to parenting behavior and infant development.
What's involved in participation?
- A 1.5-hour visit in the lab
- Parents will fill out background information, interact with their infant, and put together stories from a set of words provided.
- Infants will watch videotaped events.
Eligibility?
- Parents with infants at about 4-5 months.
Is compensation provided?
- You will be offered a $50 gift card for the lab visit.

Couples’ Rhythms and Heart Health Study
What do we study?
- We are studying how couples' daily routines (like sleep and activity patterns) and relationship
quality relate to health among middle-aged couples where at least one partner has type 2
diabetes. This study uses wearable devices and brief smartphone surveys over a 20-day period.
What's involved in participation?
- One or two in-person laboratory visits at the University of Missouri
- Wear a wrist device (Actiwatch) and a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) on the arm over 20 days
- Complete short smartphone-based surveys 4 times/day for 20 days
Eligibility?
- Married or long-term cohabiting couple (together for 1+ years)
- Both partners are between ages 45–64
- Both partners are overweight or obese
- At least one partner has type 2 diabetes
Is compensation provided?
- Each partner can earn up to $215 (up to $430 per couple) for full participation
